1. Who we are

This service ("TorqueWorks") is operated by A,Ivanovs ("we", "us", "our"). A,Ivanovs is the data controller responsible for your personal data when you use TorqueWorks.

2. Personal data we collect

  • Account data: name, email, password (hashed), role.
  • Workshop data: business name, customer records, vehicles, job cards, invoices, parts and fluid usage you choose to store.
  • Support messages you send us.
  • Usage and telemetry: log events, device identifiers, IP address, browser type.
  • Payment data is collected and processed by Paddle (see "Data sharing" below). We do not store full card details.

3. Why we use it (purposes & legal bases)

  • Provide the service (contract): create your account, store your shop data, run job cards and invoicing.
  • Security & fraud prevention (legitimate interests): detect abuse, secure accounts.
  • Customer support (legitimate interests / contract): respond to your requests.
  • Product improvement (legitimate interests): understand usage and fix bugs.
  • Legal compliance (legal obligation): meet tax, accounting and other obligations.

4. Data sharing

We share personal data only with:

  • Paddle.com Market Limited — our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles payments, subscription management, tax compliance and invoicing. Paddle is a separate data controller for payment data.
  • Hosting & infrastructure providers (cloud database, hosting, email delivery) acting as our processors.
  • Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where necessary.
  • Authorities where required by law.

5. International transfers

Where data is transferred outside the UK/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

6. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. When no longer needed, data is deleted or anonymised. You can request deletion of your account at any time.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law (including UK GDPR / EU GDPR where relevant), you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, and object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. You can also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. We aim to respond within one month.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures including encryption in transit, access controls, and isolation between tenants to protect your data.

9. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

10. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the service.
